Children’s Hearts Paint China, Building the Chinese Dream | A Patriotic Art Journey Captured in Every Stroke

这个秋天，有一场梦想的盛宴在我们的校园里绽放。近日，由我校主办的“童心绘中华 共筑中国梦”主题绘画活动圆满落幕。让我们一起回顾这段充满创意与感动的旅程，看小小的画笔如何描绘出大大的家国情怀。

This autumn, a grand celebration of dreams blossomed across our campus. Recently, the “Children’s Hearts Paint China, Building the Chinese Dream” themed art event, hosted by our school, successfully came to a close. Let’s take a moment to revisit this journey filled with creativity and emotion, as we witness how young artists use their brushes to express their deep love for the country.

经讨论，确定四大主题让孩子们进行创作，分别是锦绣河山、科技腾飞、民族一家亲、未来畅想，鼓励孩子描绘祖国的名山大川、城乡新貌，畅想科技强国、航天梦想、智能生活，表现中华优秀传统文化、民族风情、非遗技艺，“民族一家亲”展现民族团结、家庭和睦、社会关爱的温暖瞬间。

After thoughtful discussions, four main themes were chosen for the students to explore: Beautiful Landscapes, Technological Leap, Ethnic Unity, and Future Visions. Students were encouraged to illustrate China’s majestic mountains and rivers, the modern transformation of cities and villages, the dreams of a technologically advanced nation, space exploration, and smart living. They also celebrated Chinese culture, ethnic traditions, and intangible heritage. The theme of “Ethnic Unity” showcased moments of national solidarity, family harmony, and social compassion.

我们看到了稚拙的笔触：低年级画笔下的天安门，色彩奔放而纯粹，太阳是七彩的，云朵是微笑的。

From the innocent brushstrokes of younger students, we saw vivid portrayals of Tiananmen, where the colors were bold and pure, the sun shining in rainbow hues, and the clouds forming a smiling face.

我们看到了精湛的技法：高年级同学用国画，水彩画等多种绘画形式，勾勒出长城巍峨、高铁飞驰，笔法间已初具风范。

For the older students, their works displayed advanced techniques: using traditional Chinese painting, watercolor, and other styles, they captured the grandeur of the Great Wall and the speed of high-speed trains. Their artwork already showed a clear mastery of technique.

为了保证比赛的公平、公正、公开，评审团由侨新综合组全体美术老师组成。评审团从主题契合度、创意表现力、艺术技巧性三个维度进行综合考量。

To ensure fairness and transparency, the judging panel was composed of all the art teachers from the school’s integrated curriculum team. They evaluated the entries based on three criteria: relevance to the theme, creativity, and artistic technique.

最终分年级评选出一、二、三等奖及优秀奖，并增设了“奇思妙想家”、“绘画小能手”等单项奖，以鼓励那些在特定方面尤为突出的孩子。

Awards were presented by grade level, with first, second, and third prizes, as well as honorable mentions. Additional special awards, such as “Creative Visionary” and “Little Painting Prodigy,” were introduced to encourage students who excelled in specific areas.

颁奖典礼的结束，并不是梦想的终点，而是一个新的开始。我们将所有的优秀作品，精心布置在了学校教学楼的架空层，打造了一个开放、自由、充满活力的“艺术馆”。这里，成了校园最热闹的地方。课间，同学们三五成群地聚在画前，寻找自己或朋友的作品，品头论足，在画作中寻找自己孩子的视角，感受那份纯真的爱国情。

The end of the award ceremony marked not the conclusion of the event, but the beginning of a new chapter. All the outstanding works were carefully arranged and displayed in the open, dynamic space of the school’s teaching building. This transformed into an "art gallery," an open and vibrant space where students gathered during breaks, admiring the art, seeking out their own or their friends' pieces, and discussing the works. In each painting, they saw the pure patriotism of their peers through a child's perspective.
